Well today I had to be up early to get into uni early to rehearse my powerpoint. Between getting up and leaving for uni I also had to aquire a tesco bag full of apples and create a monk costume to wear during my presentation. The aquisition of apples proved far easier than I had anticipated since there was a bag of the things hanging on my coat peg. I now believe in house elves. The monk outfit was a doddle too. Also on my coat peg I found an old pony lead which served as a rather opulent rope waistebelt thing (what is it called????). In the tractor shed, serving at the time as a crude cushion on the tractor seat, I found a brown curtain. A couple of folds and a few snips later and I had a rather fetching monk outfit. Great, sorted, I whipped it away in the van and headed for uni.
The traffic was kind, there was ample parking for once, and I didn't get lost in Avery Hill's labyrinthine corridors. I got my powerpoint ready and rehearsed it in my head, avoiding panic but certainly not approaching complacency. My presentation was the last of five. The other presentations were good. Mine went well, I got an A-.
A coronation chicken baguette provided sutainance at lunch time. £2.30 well spent I think. This was all shortlived as time frog-marched us into the afternoon. Jamie arrived late for our masterplanning lesson, giving us time to talk over our group project and get some sketching in. When Jamie did arrive he had us tear up paper to create, er, creations. These supposedly explored texture and space. Dunno, they explored the limits of my motivation. I did enjoy the simplicity of just tearing, folding and sticking with masking tape. We were told that next week we will be sketching with marker pens. By the end of the lesson I was quite knackered. Truth is, I still am.
